When you register we collect your display name, email address and optionally your postcode area, VW model and profile photo. We never collect your full address or financial information.
Your data is used to provide your membership, show you on the member map (using only your postcode outward code), and send relevant community updates. We never sell your data to third parties.
Vehicle details (model, year, colour, modifications, photos) are entered by you and stored so they can appear on your member profile and in your dashboard. We do not collect or store vehicle registration plates.
You can request deletion of your account and all data at any time by emailing hello@vwownersclub.co.uk.
We use essential session cookies for login. Third-party affiliate networks (see below) may set their own cookies when you click an affiliate link — you can block these via your browser settings.
Some pages on VW Owners Club contain affiliate links to external retailers. When you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This helps us keep the club running.
We use the Awin affiliate network to manage these relationships. When you click an affiliate link, Awin may set a cookie in your browser to track the referral. This cookie does not identify you personally to us — it only tells the retailer that the visit came from VWOC.
